Mukilteo Ferry Terminal Update

Mukilteo is getting closer to having a new ferry terminal. The building is taking shape and will be open to the public by next October.

Local artists Joe Gobin and James Madison from the Tulalip Tribe will have glass etchings and a carved canoe on display. This is very exciting, and I can't wait to check it out!

First Nation Longhouse Inspired Architecture

The long and low style of the new terminal was inspired by First Nation Longhouses.

Traditional longhouses were used for a place of living. Longhouses were also used to store food, fire wood, and for political gatherings & ceremonies.

One can take a stroll along the walking path which starts at the Mount Baker Terminal to see the ongoing progress.
